\"MarchMICHAEL A MUFSON<\/b>\u00a0\u00a0(Professor of Theatre) Michael has a long history in the professional theatre,\u00a0\u00a0beginning at the age of sixteen, when he was an apprentice at the Provincetown Playhouse in Massachusetts.\u00a0\u00a0Michael, however, traces his theatrical roots back to his family\u2019s close association with E. Y. Harburg, the lyricist of\u00a0The Wizard of Oz<\/i>,\u00a0Finian\u2019s Rainbow<\/i>\u00a0and \u201cBrother Can You Spare a Dime\u201d, who has been one of Michael\u2019s constant role models.Michael has worked his way through all levels of the theatre labyrinth positions at some of the Nations most acclaimed regional and summer stock theatres including Arena Stage, StageWest and the Berkshire Theatre Festival. more..<\/a>.<\/td>\nNEXT PRODUCTION<\/b><\/span>
\nThe Every 28 Hours Plays<\/strong>A collection of 76 one-minute plays, by a diverse range of playwrights, responding to the crisis of state-sanctioned violence against Black people and all people of color in the United States of America. It is produced nationally by Calling-up Productions and Claudia Alick. https:\/\/www.every28hoursplays.org\/<\/a><\/span>Today, in the United States of America, black people are killed by police at a sharply higher rate than other Americans. We have trouble talking about it, let alone addressing it. We have to NOW.<\/span><\/p>\n

Locally, our goal is to produce these plays throughout the region in as many formats and venues as possible. Using a grass roots model, we are growing this project from the ground up; hoping to inspire more participation with each public engagement.
