Y. Harburg, the lyricist of\u00a0<i>The Wizard of Oz<\/i>,\u00a0<i>Finian&#8217;s Rainbow<\/i>\u00a0and &#8220;Brother Can You Spare a Dime&#8221;, who has been one of Michael&#8217;s constant role models.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Michael has worked his way through all levels of the theatre labyrinth positions at some of the Nations most acclaimed regional and summer stock theatres including Arena Stage, StageWest and the Berkshire Theatre Festival.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Michael received his Master of Fine Arts degree form the University of California at Irvine where his was considered one of the most exciting and accomplished directors to graduate from the program.\u00a0\u00a0While atIrvine\u00a0, he directed Bertolt Brecht&#8217;s\u00a0<i>The Good Person of Setzuan,<\/i>\u00a0a cross gender adaptation of Moliere classic &#8220;The Misanthrope&#8221; which he entitled\u00a0<i>Ms.Anthrope<\/i>,\u00a0\u00a0Jean-Paul Sartre&#8217;s\u00a0<i>No Exit<\/i>,\u00a0<i>The Trial<\/i>\u00a0adapted from Kafka&#8217;s novel, and\u00a0<i>True West<\/i>\u00a0by Sam Shepard.\u00a0\u00a0Among his other favorite productions are Samuel Beckett&#8217;s\u00a0<i>Waiting for Godot<\/i>\u00a0and Moliere&#8217;s\u00a0<i>The Imaginary Invalid<\/i>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial\">Michael is most proud of his on-going affair with original, collaborative performance works that incorporate theatre, music, movement, sculpture, technology and insanity.
