  Michael is a founding artist of the theatre collective Public Moves Ensemble Theatre.  In 2011 Michael initiated The PerformingHeARTs Project. The Performing Hearts project at Palomar College fosters community dialogue through live events that open people”s hearts, eyes and minds. Pablo Picasso famously described art as, “A lie that reveals the truth.” We offer performances and public gatherings that provide an occasion to analyze aspects of our society and the human condition from the multiple perspectives provided by differing academic disciplines.  The Image of The Crisis. Michael has been actively pursuing the use of theatre in connection with the Occupy movement and it’s aftermath. In 2011 he worked with the Occupy San Diego Education Committe to lead teach-ins using the Theatre of the Oppressed technique of Image Theatre to examine peoples perceptions of the causes and potential solutions for the crisis.
