Hale 200 inch Telescope Tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/pages.palomar.edu\/mlane\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2020\/01\/IMG_5170-scaled.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-269 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/pages.palomar.edu\/mlane\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/90\/2020\/01\/IMG_5170-432x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"346\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"style1\"><span class=\"style2\"><span class=\"style8\">The <\/span> <span class=\"style8\" lang=\"en-us\">famous 200-inch Hale Telescope is open to the public for tours every Saturday and Sunday.\u00a0 The tour takes you inside the Observatory building and onto the observing floor under the 200-inch telescope.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4 class=\"style1\"><span class=\"style2\" style=\"color: #ff0000\"><span class=\"style8\" lang=\"en-us\">To earn extra credit you must take the guided tour inside of the telescope dome.\u00a0 The free SELF-GUIDED TOUR WILL NOT EARN YOU EXTRA CREDIT.<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span lang=\"en-us\">Here is a short informational video about the tours given at Palomar Observatory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[youtube https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Nkzlr1Gv1SE]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3><span lang=\"en-us\">Here are a few things you should know:<\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The tour times are currently 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:00pm<\/li>\n<li>The tour lasts about one hour<\/li>\n<li>Ticket prices are currently $5<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en-us\">Public tours are available April &#8211;
