In India people are<\/span> from different religions.  In the North most people are<\/span> Hindus or Sikhs.  In the middle and South people are<\/span> either Muslims or Jains.  In the south they are<\/span> Christians.  In an Indian school a girl who is<\/span> a Christian can have friends who are<\/span> Hindus. It is not uncommon.  Throughout many communities of India the people are<\/span> mixed in religious beliefs.  So your neighbor is<\/span> a Hindu, but your family is<\/span> a Jains and your best friend is Muslim  So there are<\/span> many religions practiced in India<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hindus consider<\/span> God to be in all things, everywhere, omnipresent, omnipotent & they consider<\/span> the world to be just a manifestation of his own self out of his desire. Many Hindus use<\/span> idols as a way to focus on the positive manifestation of God in order to remove all other distractions. They use<\/span> lamps, stones, pictures, or music for the same purpose. No Ram, Shiva or Ganesh worshiper will say that you are worshiping the wrong God, because they are<\/span> clear that you select<\/span> the channel or image that you love<\/span> most, focus<\/span> on that characteristics but eventually you merge<\/span> to the same God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
