Use verb &#8220;Be&#8221; and Have&#8221; correctly for everyday conversation and communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course objectives for beginning level <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>know how to use basic greetings or salutations in every day life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>provide basic oral \/ written personal information related to the content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand greetings and related expressions in speech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand and use numbers, letters, and appropriate basic vocabulary<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use basic adjectives to describe people and things<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the verbs &#8220;Be and Have&#8221; to describe or to use in basic communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the basic present tense of everyday vocabulary verbs for communication and writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>Intermediate level (SLO)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will describe everyday activities using the present tense and present continuous tense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course objectives for Intermediate level <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>provide basic oral \/ written personal information related to the content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>understand greetings and related expressions in speech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use modals <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>use definite and indefinite articles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>know basic vocabulary of the classroom, school, community, and occupation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the verbs &#8220;Be and Have&#8221; to describe or to use in basic communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the basic present tense and the present continuous using everyday vocabulary verbs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describe matters related to personal experiences and feelings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>High or Advanced level (SLO)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students will 1) describe a place or thing in 5 &#8211; 7 sentences using correct grammar and vocabulary words they have learned in the lessons given in this book; and 2) will be able to compare and contrast things or situations of every day experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Course objectives for advanced level<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>get information from short passages and stories in this book<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be able to make comparison orally or in written form of things they see or experience in life<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tell a story about an everyday activity or an experience in travel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provide information orally or in writing using a wide variety of verbs from stories from this website or from current world news or event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the passive voice and the adjective clause<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>relate orally or in writing factual details of readings from this website or  from &#8220;real life experiences&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the past tense, past progressive, modals, present and past, and perfect in oral communication or in writing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Beginning level (SLO) Name things found in the home or community.
