(lesson – Using verb “Be” + the present tense – B level)
In India people are from different religions. In the North most people are Hindus or Sikhs. In the middle and South people are either Muslims or Jains. In the south they are Christians. In an Indian school a girl who is a Christian can have friends who are Hindus. It is not uncommon. Throughout many communities of India the people are mixed in religious beliefs. So your neighbor is a Hindu, but your family is a Jains and your best friend is Muslim So there are many religions practiced in India
The Hindus consider God to be in all things, everywhere, omnipresent, omnipotent & they consider the world to be just a manifestation of his own self out of his desire. Many Hindus use idols as a way to focus on the positive manifestation of God in order to remove all other distractions. They use lamps, stones, pictures, or music for the same purpose. No Ram, Shiva or Ganesh worshiper will say that you are worshiping the wrong God, because they are clear that you select the channel or image that you love most, focus on that characteristics but eventually you merge to the same God.
