Fiber Art

Moving yarn around has been one of my favorite past times for years. I actually began as a child with a small loom on a shoebox.

I progressed to a spool with 6 small nails on the top, which you wrapped and pulled the yarn over nails and a I-cord of yarn came out the hole is the bottom. I was able to use these cords for many things but coiling them around in a circle and stitching them together to make a hot pad was my favorite.

My mom taught be to crochet and hold a hook at a pretty early age, but I didn’t appreciate it at the time.

When I was in my twenties a took a college course on fiber sculpture and started in with my hook again. I haven’t stopped for the past 40 years.
