Prayer Shawls

I have been praying and crocheting for over a dozen years now.

When my friend Pauline told me she wanted to begin a ministry making prayer shawls I told her I would help her out with my talents for organizing and planning.  This ministry captured my heart by combining it with my belief that more people needed to know that God is always with them to comfort, shelter and be with them. A prayer shawl is stitched together with prayers (and yarn) and is a symbol of that to the person it is gifted to. The style, color, texture, size and physical attributes of the shawl combine with the prayers and omnipresence of God for that person. Although Pauline has passed on from this world, I continue to make and present shawls to people as often as I am led.
