We begin with the nature of scientific inquiry,\u00a0 then move into the historical development of evolutionary theory. From there we explore basic cell theory and genetics, and follow up with primate phylogeny.\u00a0 These concepts are used to explore\u00a0 the fossil record for primate evolution, the rise of the hominids, and the emergence of modern humans.\u00a0 The lessons of the past are finally synthesized in a discussion of modern human variation and the ecological problems faced by our species.<\/p>\n<p>This class has no prerequisites and fulfills the non-laboratory science GE requirement.\u00a0 The class has accompanying online quizzes and media.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_85\"
