Hi All,
I hope this is the right spot for the TA 124 class.
Alan
This is the right place.

Hello!!!
Hi Josh
Hello!
I found it! There is no losing me now, I’m official.
Muahahahahahahahaha
I hope that one day I get to have Madonna affectionately talk down to me! So already during rehearsal, I’ve been the person to run messages between two groups who both wanted to use the space for rehearsal, and had to keep a cool head without interjecting my own opinion on the matter. We reached an agreement.I’m quickly learning that an SM or ASM deals in “Just the facts.”
I’m excited for this semester and this class. Taking blocking notes is more difficult than it looks!
Hi everyone!! Looking forward to this semester and learning all the stuffs. 🙂 Just from the these first few days of rehearsal for Rough Magic I’ve realized just how much I don’t know…it’s a lot.
hello! cant wait for todays class!
Today is the fifth day of Rough Magic rehearsals and I’m still alive and coherent! 😉 Thanks to all of my ASMs and the ADs! You guys are making things a bit easier for me. Great to be able to learn from each other as well.
And I know we’ll all be learning a lot from Chris’ Stage Management class! That book has pointed me to the right direction for a lot of things already!
Looking forward to everything!
I found this sentence (below) encoraging. It’s from our class class textbook.
“No one on the stage mangement staff should feel paranoid…” (pg. 48)
Ah ha! I have finally found my way here. I have been enjoying rehearsals as an ASM (way less pressure than being a Stage Manager) and Grace is doing a fabulous job at SM. Things are running smoothly and its nice to have so many of us, ASMs, there to help with all the tasks. The show is looking very good and I can’t wait to see how all these ‘special effects’ turn out. We are going to have our hands full with them, I think.
The stage manager should try to quell any frenzy produced by actors as they confront what seem to them like insurmountable problems with a calm statement like, “Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it; you just worry about getting ready for the show.”
