Here at the Happy House of History, there is a lot of hard work and joy and enthusiasm that accompanies the study of American history and all of its foibles.

If you are contemplating taking one of my classes, then looking at my Autobiography or the enigmatic button called WHY? may prove useful.  WHY of course looks at the important concerns: Why to take my courses and Why not to take my courses.

But maybe you are already sold on the idea of the bow tie classroom.  Maybe my class was the only one that would fit into your schedule, that was open, or you accidentally wandered in on the first day expecting help from the writing center and somehow accidentally got signed up for my course.  If so, may I draw your attention to what BOOKS you need for my courses, my SYLLABI for 101 and 102, and if you have any questions, Please check out my OFFICE HOURS and stop on by! I also post my teaching schedule in the office hour menu, so if you miss your class and I am teaching the same section later that day or the next, you can make up that class with no attendance penalty.
