Catalog Description
This is a survey course designed to introduce students to the concepts and principles of genetics and inheritance, evolutionary theory, primate characteristics and behavior, the evolution of primates (mainly human) through the fossil record, and human diversity and adaptability.
Catalog and SLO information This course satisfies Area 5B – Biological Sciences for IGETC CSU/UC. Students should be aware that a free field trip to the San Diego Zoo to observe non-human primates may occur. An alternate activity will be provided for those who cannot go to the zoo.

Class meetings
We will be meeting in the MD building, room 124 (first floor). Section #70290 meets Tuesday/Thursday 9:35 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and section #70291 meets Tuesday/Thursday 11:10 a.m. to 12:35 p.m. The first day of class is Tuesday, August 23.
