How Palomar Websites are Managed
Palomar’s website content management model is decentralized; meaning, departments or other areas manage their own content. Please see the Web Page Development Guidelines for details on oversight, page types, and other particulars.
The Academic Technology Resources Centers (ATRC) administrates Palomar College websites, which are served via the official college theme (design) in WordPress and supported by ATRC systems administrators and the web coordinator.
The college homepage and all college websites fall within the purview of the Public Affairs Office. The Web Coordinator confers with the Director of Communications, Marketing, and Public Affairs on all requests for alterations to the District home page, top-level landing pages, or the overall look and feel of the website theme (design); this includes colors and branding.
Training and Support
Aside from the resources found on the Website Administrators User Group site, individual training can be booked here. ATRC staff offer workshops throughout the semester and during All College Week. Consult the 3PD Portal (choose the 3PD Portal tile) for information on that.
